BOOKING CONDITIONS
BOOKING CONDITIONS In these conditions “the company” shall mean Casedamare Holidays and “the client” will mean the person in whose name the booking is made and accepted. 1. Contract : There will not be any contract between the company and the client until : a)The company receives a completed and signed “Booking Form” and the necessary deposit and b)the booking has been confirmed and accepted by the company with a “Confirmation letter “ and c)the company has received the final payment on time and has sent a “Voucher” to the client. 2. Payment : All deposits by the client should be made in the following sequence : a)a 30% of your total holiday cost plus the relevant Booking fee should be transferred to our company as soon as we have reserved for you the accommodation that you require and you have signed and sent the “Booking Form” . b)the remaining 70% of your total holiday cost should reach us 50 days prior to your arrival. We must receive the initial deposit within 3 working days from the day that we have blocked your requested accommodation. The final payment should reach us 50 days prior to your arrival. If the booking is confirmed after this period of time the full contract price and the relevant Booking fee must be paid at the time of booking. The company reserves the right to cancel your booking with no refund if payments are not received on time. 3. Cancellation by Client : In the event that you cancel your holiday the Booking fee amount will be forfeited and the following cancellation charges will be applied : Up to 50 days prior to arrival : 25% of the total cost From 50 to 30 days prior to arrival : 50% of the total cost From 29 to 7 days prior to arrival : 80% of the total cost From 6 to 0 days prior to arrival : 100 % of the total cost Cancellation shall only be effective when a written notification is received by the company by recorded or registered mail.   4. Alterations and Cancellations by Owner or by Casedamare Holidays : The company reserves the right to modify or cancel this Contract at any time or when necessary to do so as a result of a force majeure, or any other occurrence outside control of the company. Should the company make any major change or cancel the booking after the date when the final payment is received the client will have the following choices : a)purchasing another available holiday from us b)canceling the holiday and refunding all monies paid to us as of that day In the unlikely event of over booking by a hotel, villa or other service supplier, of which the company is not aware we will provide an alternative accommodation of similar cost. If the cost is lower than the one originally booked, the company will refund the difference, if the cost is higher than the one originally booked the difference will be covered by the company. 5. Complaints: As we act only as agent in all bookings we take and/or make we cannot accept responsibility for the properties we feature. Should any problem occur with the Rental Property, the Client shall immediately notify the owner or owner’s representative to correct the problem. If the owner or owner’s representative is unable to rectify the situation, Client shall immediately contact the Casedamare Holidays’ representatives listed on the Client’s voucher. The client shall allow the Owner reasonable time, under the circumstances, to remedy the problem, or to find a suitable replacement rental property. The Company shall be notified of any problem or difference found by the client in the rental property upon their arrival or as soon as the problem occurs . Vacating the Rental Property without notifying Casedamare Holiday shall not constitute an adequate cause for refund. Failure to give notice of a complaint when it occurs during the rental period and/or failure to remain in contact by telephone or fax while providing the owner or owner’s representative and Casedamare Holidays an opportunity to remedy the complaint during the rental period will void any claim. The claimant agrees to assign the company their rights against a supplier or any other person relating to the claim. The claimant agrees to give his full co-operation in the event that the company or its insurers wish to enforce the rights assigned to them or to which they are subrogated. As with any home repairs may be necessary as things wear down. The Company is not responsible for any breakdown of appliances, loss of heat, water, etc. that occur at the Rental Property. 6. Number of occupants : Only those persons named on the booking form may use and stay at the property(s) booked. In the event that the maximum number allowed at the property is exceeded without the prior agreement of the Owner, the Owner reserves the right to not accept the exceeding person(s) or ask an additional surcharge for extra guests above the maximum set forth in the Contract. 7. Alteration by the Client : if you wish to make any amendment to your booking following the dispatch of the confirmation letter, the relevant Booking fee will be charged again for each of the party members in the new booking in order to cover costs incurred by us together with any costs incurred or imposed by the Owner concerned. 10. The client agrees to : a)Not permit anything to be done to the rented property that might lead to damage or to vitiation of any contract of the insurance of the property. The cost of replacement of any broken, damaged or lost items during the tenancy shall be charged and paid for by the client prior to his departure. b)Not to sub-let the accommodation. c)Never leave a child or anyone with mobility problems and or anyone with poor swimming abilities to use the pool unsupervised. Please refer to “Important Information” for more information on  “pool use and safety”. d)Act in a responsible manner at all times, and to act with respect toward other guests, the Owners and their staff. Casedamare Holidays and the Owner reserve the right to require any individual to vacate a Rental Property for disruptive behavior without any refund. 11. The client must notify the company in the event of a ‘no show’ on the agreed arrival date. Without prior notification, the company reserves the right to cancel the booking with no refund. 12. Any disputes arising out or in connection with this contract which cannot amicably be settled should be resolved by a simple method of arbitration and if this fails by an Italian Court of Law in Florence. 13. “Important Information” as set up below, constitutes part of the booking conditions. IMPORTANT INFORMATION How to book Contact us for availability for the accommodation you have chosen. If the accommodation is available we will reserve it for you. We will then send you a Booking Form which you will be requested to return by e-mail or by fax, duly signed by you, together with the bank receipt acknowledging the transfer of the necessary deposit to our account. The reservation will be held for a period of 3 working days for the “Booking Form” and deposit to reach us. How to pay To secure your booking, we require a deposit of 30% of your total holiday cost and the relevant Booking fee to be transferred to us. Payment are to be made by money order sent to our Bank in Italy, as per details provided on the Booking Form. The remaining 70% of your holiday cost is due 50 days prior to your arrival. Payments are accepted only in EURO. Please note that all bank transfer fees are the responsibility of the client. Booking fee : a standard Booking fee of 20 Euros per person (10 Euros for children) is applicable with each Property reservation. Insurance : Casedamare Holidays highly recommends that Client be covered by comprehensive travel insurance including coverage against trip cancellation and personal injury, as this is not included in the Rental Property price. Arrivals and departures Arrival and departure time may vary for each different property however arrival time is usually in the afternoon between 16:00 and 21:00 hours and departure is in the morning between 8:00 and 11:00 hours unless differently agreed with the property owner or his representatives. Safety & hygiene standards Safety standards and regulations may not reach the same levels as those of your homeland. Clients should familiarize themselves with the accommodation always being aware of hidden dangers involving swimming pools, balconies, terraces and stairs, especially if traveling with children. Please ask the property owner or his representative for emergency numbers upon your arrival. Please bring adequate supplies of your medicine or ask us before your departure to find out if your specific medicine may be found in Greece. Included in Contract Price The contract price includes: the use of the rental property and any facilities and/or services listed on the Rental Property’s information web page. Linen change, cleaning and normal use of gas, electricity and water facilities are also included unless otherwise stated on the price list. No travel arrangements, insurance, maid services, food, consumables, facilities are included, unless stated on the Rental Property’s information page. A/C where available is included unless differently specified on the web site page. Cleaning service and linen change are included in the rental price but are provided with different frequency for each of the properties that we rent , so ask us if you wish to know how often these services are provided for the accommodation you have booked. Pool use & safety Never leave a child or anyone with mobility problems and/or anyone with poor or no swimming abilities to use the pool unsupervised. Adults must take turns being the “watcher” to protect children from possible pool accidents. Do not allow them to enter the pool without the supervision of an adult with adequate swimming capabilities. Do not use flotation devices as a substitute for supervision. Keep rescue equipment by the pool. Remove toys from in and around the pool when it is not in use as toys can attract young children to the pool. No jumping, diving and/or running around the pool. During the Greek siesta times of 14:00-17:00, please be considerate of pool noises in the vicinity of neighbours. Use of pools is not allowed from 23:00-06:00 for your own safety. Do not open the box or compartment where the pool’s pump is found. Do not change the settings in the pool’s control box.   Pests Wasps, flies, mosquitoes, ants, field and tree rats and mice are usually the same type of pests you find in the country side at home – you may also find them here! To avoid unwanted guests, keep all doors and windows closed especially when you are away. Do not keep any food outside storage cabinets and the fridge. Wipe clean all surfaces after food preparation and meals, including terraces after outdoor dining. Neither the owner nor Casedamare Holidays are responsible for annoyance through local flora and fauna. Their presence on the premises of the Rental property shall not be considered as a valid cause for a complaint. Pets Generally pets are not accepted although requests can be considered on an individual basis, but not guaranteed. Power, Water and Other Power and water cuts are something common in country locations throughout Greece. These cuts usually do not take place for more than a couple of hours. We do not take responsibility for power and/or water cuts which are due to the public providers and/or caused due to their works. As a result of these cuts, hot water boilers, swimming pool pumps and generally all appliances that use electricity and/or water may be unusable at the time of occurrence. Maid service and pool cleaning may also be disrupted due to power and/or water cuts. If the problem is due to a fault in the property we will respond as soon as we are notified. Due to the country location of most of our properties, this might be within a few hours up to twenty-four hours according to the seriousness of the problem. If the problem renders the property un-inhabitable, i.e. no electric and/or water and/or flooded or damages due to these cuts for more than twenty-four hours from the time that the company was notified (i.e. representative, office and/or our emergency numbers) you may ask us to provide you with an alternative accommodation of similar cost. If the cost is lower than the one originally booked, we will refund the difference. Please be assured that all properties are thoroughly checked before each season to avoid these types of problems but some damages are unforeseen and unavoidable. Toilet use : The drain system in Greece is not a pressure system therefore you are kindly requested to not throw paper or other in the W.C. but to use instead the waste bin that you will find next to the toilet. Water : it is recommended that clients ascertain the potability of water upon arrival on the property, by asking the owner or person in charge of the premises.
